The Company

Paris Filmes is an established company, placed in movie distribution and exhibition market since 1960. Focused only in theatrical releases at first, nowaday also focuses on TV and home video. Working as an independent company, the quality of its products, the credibility and the respect for its clients are indispensable ingredients for achieving our goals, which makes Paris Filmes one of the most traditional and respected distribution companies.

Since 2004, Paris Filmes has been working full-speed and has brought huge box-office hits, such as Saw, House of Flying Daggers, Sahara, P.S., I Love You; crittically acclaimed movies, such as Good Night, and Good Luck, In The Valley of Elah; and phenomenal surprises such as Juno.

Paris Filmes stimulates dialog and searches for new trends in order to develop the distribution and exhibition market.

History

In the late 50’s, Romenian Sandi Adamiu imigrates to Brazil. Fluent in French, he is able to negotiate Pathé pictures and brings many French productions to Brazil. Established in the distribution market, Adamiu invests in the exhibition market, creating his first movie theater, Cine Marrocos.

In 1968, his son Alexandre Adamiu takes over the company. With young and bold spirit, goes after riskier productions, such as King Kong, Caligula, among others, achieving great success. Thus Paris Filmes becomes the leading distribution company and expands its exhibition circuit, becoming the first Brazilian company to open a movie theater inside a Shopping Mall – the BH Shopping.

In 1986, creates a joint-venture with Grupo Severiano Ribeiro, the leader company in the exhibition market, and builds the first multiplex in Latin America, inside Park Shopping, in Brasilia, with 8 theaters.

Nowadays, Paris Filmes focuses mainly in the distribution market and is run by partners Sandi Adamiu – Marketing and Expansion Director – and Marcio Fraccaroli – Director-General.

Located in São Paulo, Paris Filmes counts with the greatest professionals in its staff and is always in tune with the new trends of the industry.
